Getting Started
What is Zabble?
Zabble is a free daily word puzzle game where you connect adjacent letter tiles to form words. Everyone gets the same puzzle each day, so you can compete with friends and players worldwide on the global leaderboard.
How do I play Zabble?
To play, connect adjacent tiles (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) to spell words. Words must be at least 4 letters long. Each tile can only be used once per word. Tap or click tiles in sequence to form your word, then submit it. Find as many words as possible to maximize your score!
Is Zabble free to play?
Yes! Zabble is completely free to play. You can enjoy the daily puzzle, unlimited practice mode, and all features without any cost. Creating an account is optional but lets you save progress across devices and compete on leaderboards.
Do I need an account to play?
No account is required to play Zabble. You can enjoy puzzles immediately. However, creating a free account (via Google sign-in) enables cloud sync, leaderboard participation, achievement tracking, and progress saving across devices.
Gameplay
What's the minimum word length?
All words must be at least 4 letters long. Shorter words are not accepted. This keeps the game challenging and rewards finding longer, higher-scoring words.
How does the scoring system work?
Longer words earn more points: 4-letter words earn 1 point per letter (4 pts), 5-letter words earn 2 points per letter (10 pts), and so on. Words with 8+ letters receive bonus multipliers. There's no time pressure, so focus on finding as many words as possible.
What are the different game modes?
Zabble offers three modes: Daily Puzzle (same puzzle for everyone each day with leaderboard competition), Unlimited (random puzzles for practice, play as many as you like), and Archive (access past daily puzzles you may have missed).
What dictionary does Zabble use?
Zabble uses a curated dictionary of over 81,000 English words sourced from Wordnik's trusted open-source dataset. All words are validated for quality and appropriateness.
Why isn't my word accepted?
Words may be rejected if they're not in our dictionary, are shorter than 4 letters, contain tiles that aren't adjacent, or use a tile more than once in the same word. Proper nouns, abbreviations, and some obscure words may not be included.
